This is an opportunity for self-discovery by tapping into your creativity as a way of healing yourself and others. There is no art experience necessary, we will help you find the artist in you. During these 9 weeks, we will unlock the inner resources that are already deep within you.
This is a sacred space to thrive and explore expressions of creativity in a small supportive community of other Nurses.
The foundation of this course is based on Mary’s personal experiences, her book Healing with the Arts, co-authored by Michael Samuels, MD, and the work of Dr. Jean Watson and her book, Postmodern Nursing & Beyond.
This course is a powerful way to help cope with the stresses of your work, your life, and create a deeper emotional connection to your patients, self and others.

If you can't make the live sessions, no problem. All classes will be recorded which can can be viewed anytime

Group and private coaching

Participants will have the opportunity to work in small groups

All students will have access to Healing with the Arts Modules

Nurses will have the opportunity to submit their art to the Nurses Guild Artist Gallery
This activity has been submitted to the American Holistic Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The American Holistic Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Mary Rockwood Lane
Mary is the co-founder and director emeritus of Shands Arts in Medicine program at University of Florida (UF), Gainesville. She directed the program for over 15 years and is now an Associate Professor of Nursing at UF, where she teaches Creativity and Spirituality in Healthcare. In addition to writing numerous articles and books on art, spirituality and healing, she lectures and teaches workshops across the globe. As an artist and creative activist, she has been very involved in setting up art and healing programs in Florida and around the globe.
