Grief Embodied: Finding Strength and Healing Together
A collaboration between The Nursing Way and Tara "the dancing nurse" Rynders RN MFA BSN BA Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist
Experience a compassionate and transformative offering designed specifically to help nurses explore grief as a sacred, embodied journey and gently, open the door to new levels of healing and well- being.

You are not alone. As Nurses, we devote our lives to caring for others. We navigate emotionally demanding situations, holding space in moments too heavy for most, and keep going even when our own hearts are breaking. Intertwined with the personal losses we endure, the weight of these experiences can accumulate, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and carrying grief that often goes unacknowledged. Â
Your grief is real. And it deserves to be honored.
Grief Embodied: A Healing Journey for Nurses
Grief Embodied is a healing invitation, a tender, multi-layered offering that meets you where you are. It offers gentle and varied ways to engage with your grief. You are welcome to enter in whatever way calls to you. There is no right place to beginâonly a loving call to heal.

These offerings are for you if:
- You carry unspoken grief from your workâand arenât sure where to put it
- Youâve been told to âkeep going,â but your body is asking you to slow down
- You feel guilt, anger, numbness, or confusionâand want to meet those feelings with compassion
- You long for a space where grief is not pathologized or rushed, but welcomed and witnessed

That anger that appears out of nowhere. The tears that come without warning. The exhaustion is so deep that no amount of sleep can touch it.
You think itâs just stress. Just burnout. Just another brutal shift in healthcare.
But what if I told you itâs actually grief? Grief for the patients you couldnât save, the care you couldnât give, the colleagues who left, and the parts of yourself lost along the way. The quiet weight of years spent caring.
Sometimes we donât even know weâre grieving. We just know weâre angry, exhausted, and running on empty. We know we feel guilty every time we try to rest because someone else needs us. We know weâve been caring for everyone else so long, weâve forgotten we deserve care too.
If youâre nodding along, thinking âShe gets itâ - youâre in the right place.
Hereâs what I could imagine. Youâre brilliant at caring for others, and receiving care yourself may feel hard. Youâve been taught that your worth comes from how much you give, not from who you are. And somewhere along the way, you started believing that taking care of yourself is selfish.
But hereâs what I believe: You are worthy to receive - hardstop. And right now, it's time to find a safe and courageous space to receive with those who get it. I truly believe we have an opportunity as nurses to be and heal in relationship with one another.Â
What if you could tend to those you love while doing all the things you love - without burning out? What if you could process your grief in community, build sustainable systems of care, and rediscover joy in your work and life?
Thatâs exactly what Vital Care is designed to do.
This isnât another self-care program that tells you to take bubble baths and call it good. This is deep, embodied work that addresses the root of whatâs keeping you stuck - your unprocessed grief, your limiting beliefs about care, and your disconnection from joy.
Over 4 transformative weeks, youâll experience:
Week 1: We Are Worthy To Be Cared For
Discover the beliefs about care that were shaped in childhood and are now keeping you burned out. Through creative movement, storytelling, and community connection, youâll create new beliefs that actually serve you - and learn practical ways to integrate them into your everyday life.
Week 2: Sustainable Systems of Care
Build morning and evening routines that feed your mind, body, and soul instead of depleting you. No more surviving day to day - youâll create systems that help you thrive, even during your busiest seasons.
Week 3: Grief and Joy
Hereâs where the real work happens. Youâll identify whatâs entangling you and keeping you from joy, process your grief through storytelling and somatic practices, and rediscover what actually brings you alive. Because grief and joy arenât opposites - theyâre dance partners.
Week 4: Creative Collaboration
Transform everything youâve learned into something tangible you can take with you. Create your personal manifesto for creative care and build lasting connections with others who truly understand your journey.
This program is perfect for you if:
- Youâre tired of feeling angry, exhausted, or overwhelmed, even without knowing why
- You want to process your grief in a safe, creative community
- Youâre ready to build sustainable systems of self-care that actually work
- You know you deserve better but donât know how to create it
- Youâre curious about embodied, creative approaches to healing
What makes Vital Care different?
As a nurse, dancer, and grief recovery specialist, I understand the unique challenges nurses and caregivers face. Iâve walked through my own profound losses - including my mother at 49 and my brother Nathan at 30 and I almost died myself from an ectopic pregnancy- I know how grief shows up in our bodies, our relationships, and our work.
This isnât therapy. Itâs not clinical. Itâs creative, embodied, and designed specifically for nurses and caregivers who are ready to transform their relationship with care, grief, and joy.
By the end of 4 weeks, youâll have:
- A clear understanding of whatâs been keeping you burned out and overwhelmed
- New beliefs about care that create more time, less stress, and less guilt
- Sustainable morning routines that ground and energize you
- Tools for processing grief and accessing joy daily
- A creative manifesto for how you want to live and work
- A community of people who truly get your journey
Investment: $149 for all 4 weeks (thatâs less than $40 per session)
Ready to stop surviving and start thriving?
This is your invitation to tend to yourself with the same compassion you give others. To process your grief in community. To rediscover joy in your work and life.
Because you deserve care too.
"Iâd say, the Grief Embodied Journey is like AA for people pleasers and caretakers. We become so bogged down with othersâ needs that we donât even know what we want anymore. I have been to a lot of grief therapists who thought I just needed to make big life changes or take antidepressants to fix my feelings but in the Grief Embodied Journey you are getting back in touch with that integral part of you who is already strong and wise."Â - Sara RN ER

Youâre tired of that anger that appears out of nowhere. Those unexpected tears. That bone-deep exhaustion that no amount of sleep can touch. Youâre ready to stop surviving and start living again.
This intensive 8 week individual coaching program is for nurses and caregivers who are ready to do the deep work of healing grief - whether you lost someone yesterday or decades ago.
What Makes This Different
This isnât traditional grief counseling. Itâs not sitting in a chair talking about your feelings week after week with no real resolution. This is embodied grief recovery - a powerful combination of creative, somatic practices with the proven structure of The Grief Recovery MethodÂŽ. Youâll work through your grief in your body, your mind, and your heart.
Hereâs what weâll do together
Memory Healing: Weâll go directly into the old memories and beliefs that are keeping you stuck, healing them at the source and creating new beliefs that actually serve who you are now.
Loss History Mapping: Youâll create a complete picture of all the losses in your life - not just death, but divorce, job changes, moves, broken trust - and understand how theyâre all connected.
Relationship Completion: Using proven methods, youâll finally say the things you never got to say, forgive what needs forgiving, and complete whatâs been left unfinished.
Embodied Integration: Through movement, breathwork, and creative expression, youâll process grief not just mentally but somatically - because grief lives in the body.
This Program is Perfect for You If:
- Youâve been carrying grief for years and youâre exhausted from pretending youâre okay
- You recently experienced a significant loss and want deep, personalized support
- You tried group programs but need more individualized attention
- Youâre ready to move from numb and disconnected to joyful and open-hearted
- You want to combine proven grief recovery methods with embodied, creative healing
- Youâre tired of feeling like you âshould be over it by nowâ
- You know you deserve to feel like yourself again
What Youâll Experience
By the end of our work together, youâll no longer feel numb. Youâll be experiencing more joy, feeling like yourself again, with a profound sense of self-worth and desire to live the life you were meant to live. Youâll start dreaming again. Youâll have more energy, more excitement for life. Youâll be ready to be in relationship with the world again - less hiding, more opening of your heart.
This is deep, transformative work that changes everything.
